It’s been a full year since we started running our West Edmonton Mall Toyota Events and we could not be happier with their success.
These events started as a way to reconnect with our loyal customers and meet some of the new faces to the business. We also saw them as an opportunity to show everyone around our new dealership and highlight what was now possible with having our location inside the largest mall in North America.
But after over a dozen events this past year, these nights have turned into so much more than all of that. From introducing you to some of our favourite retailers in the mall to the incredible light bites and drinks shared, prizes won and games played, each event has far surpassed our expectations.

Each month we host a private event exclusive to West Edmonton Mall Toyota customers. They are held in our beautiful delivery centre and feature some of the best of what West Edmonton Mall has to offer.
These events include featured retail partners showcasing their products and services (usually with exclusive offers for our customers), light bites from restaurants within the mall, entertainment, drinks, games, new products and of course, a giveaway or two for those who attend.
Some Highlights From Past Events
There are too many memories to count from the past year but there have certainly been some stand-out moments.
One, in particular, was our Women, Wellness, & Wine Event. It included an inspiring talk from the founder of Ellie Bianca Beauty who shared skincare tips and her inspiring success story with our guests.
We also had the Hudson’s Bay team in with a pop-up fragrance station with samples and our neighbours at Cactus Club supplied a fantastic spread of food (the tuna stack and zen rolls were a big hit).
Our Tailgate Beer Tasting Event was another one that our guests raved about. We had a full house with our friends at 1ST RND serving up their signature dishes. The Crunch Fitness crew gave away swag and a 1-year membership and Reboot Racing even brought in one of their racing simulators for our guests to try out.
Our Casino Royale Event with Starlight Casino was also one for the books. We had four tables (roulette & blackjack) set up in a fun learn-to-play setting. Our top three winners with the most chips at the end won prizes including a West Edmonton Mall Annual Multi-Play Attractions Pass (for a family of up to 4) valued at $1,950.

We partnered with our good friends at Starlight Casino to put on Casino Royale — an exclusive event for West Edmonton Mall Toyota customers filled with delicious food and drinks, amazing prizes and interactive games. This evening was one for the books with one of our best turnouts to date.
We transformed part of our showroom with four blackjack and roulette tables manned by some of the best dealers from the casino to keep our guests entertained for hours.
Set up as a fun money-style event in a learn-to-play setting, prizes were awarded to the top three winners who had the most chips at the end of the event. The top prize was a WEM Annual Multi-Play Attractions Pass (for a family of up to 4) valued at $1,950.

If you are a customer of ours and have attended one of our events previously, you know these evenings are never complete without a spread of savoury appetizers and delicious drinks.
This event in particular featured items from Nova Bar and Chow Noodle Bar — two of the main restaurants inside Starlight Casino.
We had been dying to try these two spots after learning about them and their incredible menus last year during our monthly partner feature.
Aligra Wine & Spirits was in attendance as well featuring a nice selection of beer, wine and prosecco.
There were representatives from all our departments in attendance including our sales, service and finance teams. Not only were they there to join in on the fun but to introduce themselves and get to know some of you better.

January was no exception as we rolled out the red carpet for a handful of customers for a Tailgate Beer Tasting Event.
Tailgating is a favourite pastime for many of our truck owners so we wanted to bring that same spirit of the outdoors inside our dealership.
With the newest Tundra and Tacoma models lined up inside for our guests to explore and the best in outdoor accessories and camping gear — Traeger Grills, YETI coolers and the best in Genuine Toyota Accessories every seasoned Alberta outdoors enthusiast needs in the back of their pick-up.

What would a successful tailgating event be without some tasty grub and thirst-quenching beer? The 1ST RND team certainly helped with that by loading up our attendees with their signature Triple Play Sliders, grilled cheese bites, and crispy kettle chips. To wash it all out down, Alison and Grant from Aligra Wine & Spirits had a fantastic selection of game day beers, wine and prosecco to offer.
If you’ve attended one of our customer events before you know they always include games and a chance to win prizes from some of our favourite retailers inside West Edmonton Mall. For this event, we had several rounds of sports trivia, prize pong and a tailgate toss that gave all our winners something sweet to take home including a $50 1ST RND Gift Card.
Reboot Racing brought in one of their racing simulators for attendees to try their hand at. Some of you really know your way around a racetrack. (You might really like the new GR Corolla… wink wink).
We also had the team from Crunch Fitness in to walk our guests through their amazing gym and explore the various classes and training options they offer. We can say from first-hand experience this is one of the best, most positive and most inclusive gyms in Edmonton.
Their team is so friendly and a lot of our staff has made the switch to Crunch Fitness. In addition to some sweet swag, they even held a draw for a free 1-year membership.
