Toyota Replacement Parts Warranty
When you buy and install replacement parts at a Toyota dealership, you're covered for both parts and labour. Here's how the coverage works:
Coverage Terms
When you purchase and install replacement parts at a Toyota dealership, your warranty includes both parts and labour coverage. Here's how the coverage applies:
If the replacement parts are provided at no charge under the New Vehicle Basic Warranty, coverage lasts for 90 days or the remainder of the New Vehicle Basic Warranty—whichever is greater. This includes both parts and labour.
If you purchase replacement parts from Toyota and have them installed by a Toyota dealer, the warranty covers parts and labour for 24 months or 40,000 km, whichever comes first.
If you purchase replacement parts from Toyota but have them installed elsewhere, the warranty covers parts only for 12 months with unlimited kilometres.
Replacement parts purchased and installed by Toyota as part of the Remanufactured Parts Program are covered for 12 months or 20,000 km, whichever comes first.
This coverage has been in effect since January 27, 2015.
What’s Not Covered
The warranty does not cover parts replaced under extended retail warranties for mufflers, shock absorbers, or batteries. It also excludes replacements required due to normal wear, discolouration, fading, deformation, deterioration, or noise.
Additionally, after six months, items such as bulbs (excluding headlamps), filters, wiper blades and inserts, and fuses are considered wear-and-tear items and are not covered under warranty.
